At 28 meters high with two independent systems linked by an overhead RGV, this installation represents a new benchmark in high-density automated storage for textile manufacturing. Sieger's fork-type ASRS, purpose-built for individual roll handling, transforms the economics of fabric storage by packing thousands of rolls into a fraction of the footprint that ground-level racking would demand.
Installed within a Pre-Engineered Building (PEB), this is a 2-system ASRS deployment with two stacker cranes operating simultaneously across two independent aisles, each rising to 28 meters. The overhead RGV (Rail Guided Vehicle) interconnects the system with the factory building, enabling seamless material transfer between storage and production without manual intervention. Sieger's fork-type stacker cranes deliver throughput that no single-system or manual operation could match.
The system stores 650+ pallets (up to 600 kg each) and 5,500+ knitted fabric rolls (up to 325 kg each). At 28 meters high, the vertical storage density is exceptional. Every pallet and roll is assigned a precise storage location by the ASRS software, retrievable on demand within seconds.
For knitted fabric manufacturers, roll damage during storage is a significant hidden cost. Sieger's ASRS eliminates these risks. Each roll is stored individually, handled only by the automated fork mechanism, and retrieved without human contact in the storage aisle. The result is near-zero fabric damage and a dramatic reduction in inventory write-offs.
